graduated in Biological Sciences at Barão de Mauá (1999-2003). Performed Improvement and Scientific Initiation in the Department of Morphology (2000) and in the Department of Pharmacology (2001-2003) at the Faculty of Medicine of Ribeirão Preto, at the University of São Paulo (FMRP-USP). He did a master's degree (2004-2005), doctorate (2006-2010) and post-doctorate (2010-2013) in Pharmacology by FMRP-USP. He is responsible for Research Grants by FAPESP - Young Researcher (since 2013) and for Multi-User Equipment Grants (EMU / FAPESP) (since 2015) at FMRP-USP. He is Director of the Multi-User Neuroelectrophysiology Center (CMN) (http://defreitasrl.wix.com/dbsteam), which has Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) equipment and is Coordinator of the Pain & Emotions Neuroscience Laboratory ( LNDE) (http://www.brownbearsw.com/cal/cmn), located in the Department of Surgery and Anatomy at FMRP-USP since 2013. He is advisor in the Postgraduate Program in Neurology and Neurosciences (PPGNCC) (Note 7 -CAPES) and collaborating professor in the Department of Surgery and Anatomy at FMRP-USP. He is a member of the team at the Neuroanatomy and Neuropsychobiology Laboratory in the Department of Pharmacology at FMRP-USP, led by Professor Norberto Cysne Coimbra (since 2000). He is a member of the Virtual Laboratory of Clinical, Cognitive and Behavioral Neuropsychometry and of the research group PSICOVID, coordinated by Professor José Aparecido da Silva (since 2020). Developed a project in international collaboration with Professor Nicola Sibison of Gray Laboratories, University of Oxford, England (2009). He has international collaboration (since 2013) and did an internship (2015-2016) at the Department of Experimental Medicine, Division of Pharmacology, University of Campania? L. Vanvitelli ?, Naples, Italy under the supervision of Professor Sabatino Maione. He was a visiting professor at the Federal University of Alfenas in Minas Gerais (UNIFAL-MG), based at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICB) and the Postgraduate Program in Biosciences Applied to Health (2018-2020). He has international scientific collaboration between projects and lines of research with the group led by Professor Sabatino Maione, from the Department of Experimental Medicine at Second University of Naples , located in Naples, Italy (since 2013), with Professor Gabriella Gobbi from the Neurobiological Psychiatry Unit at McGill University in Canada (since 2019) and with Professor Liana Lins Melo-Thomas, from Marburg University, Germany . He is coordinator of the Basic Pain Research Committee and member of the Education and Pain Committee of the Brazilian Society for the Study of Pain (SBED). He is an area editor for the Brazilian Journal of University Extension and a member of the editorial board of the World Journal of Neuroscience and the Brazilian Journal of Pain . He is a referee of several specialized magazines with national and international circulation (Neuroscience, Journal of Neuroscience Research, World Journal of Neuroscience, Journal of Psychopharmacology, Pain Studies and Treatment, Advances in Infectious Diseases, Brazilian Journal of Pain, Psychology in Research and Magazine University Extension). Provides training Neurosciences Applied to Education (university extension) to teachers of pre-school and early childhood education in public education in cooperation with Education and Culture Departments and develops projects in Neuroscience applied to Education since 2019 in graduate school. Has experience in Pharmacology and Neurosciences, with emphasis on studies in the areas of neurobiology, neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, neuromolecular and psychopharmacology. He works mainly on the following themes: chronic and neuropathic pain, cognitive, sensory, behavioral and emotional aspects related to comorbidities between pain and neurological disorders (motor disorders: Parkinson and catalepsy) / psychiatric (anxiety, panic and depression).
