He has a graduate degree in Agricultural Engineering on University of Campinas (2002), a master's degree in Agricultural Engineering on University of Campinas (2005) and a doctorate degree in Agricultural Engineering on University of Campinas (2009) in the concentration area of Post Harvest Technology. He is currently Professor and Associate Director of the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering of UNICAMP. He was coordinator of the undergraduate degree in Agricultural Engineering at UNICAMP. Reviewer of national and international journals. He has been developing research works in Agricultural Engineering themes, with emphasis on Agricultural Product Processing Engineering, acting on the following subjects: drying, physicochemical properties of biological materials, encapsulation, edible films and use of agroindustrial by-products.
