Chemical Engineer from Universidade de São Paulo (1985), bachelor in Physics from Universidade de São Paulo (1986), master in Aerospace Engineering from University of Texas System (1991), master in Space Sciences/Orbital Mechanics from Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais (1989) and doctorate in Aerospace Engineering from University of Texas System (1993). Has experience in Aerospace Engineering, focusing on space trajectories, acting on the following subjects: astrodynamics, orbital maneuvers, space trajectories and swing-by. Member of the "International Academy of Astronautics" and of the Astrodynamics Committee of the "International Astronautical Federation".
