Valeria graduated in Nursing in 2008 by the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Between 2008 and 2012, she made her Ph.D. in Cardiovascular Pharmacology, Faculty of Medical Sciences, UNICAMP (Grant from Capes), whose line of investigation was resistant hypertension. In 2011, she undertook a period of training at the University of Queensland, Australia, with a project focused on interaction between the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system in essential hypertension. Since 2013, she is conducting postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Internal Medicine, Cardiology Division, UNICAMP (Grant from FAPESP) whose subject is directed to atherosclerotic disease and vascular biology.
