CAPES PhD scholarship at the Institute of Neurophysiology, University of Bonn, Germany (1989-1991). FAPESP postdoctoral scholarship at the NeuroMuscular Research Center (1998-1999), Boston University, USA. Researcher 1A from CNPQ (since 2005). Full Professor at the Department of Physiotherapy and the Postgraduate Program in Physiotherapy at the Federal University of São Carlos (1988-2019). Senior Full Professor at the Department of Physiotherapy and the Postgraduate Program in Physiotherapy, since 2019. Editor of the Brazilian Journal of Physical Therapy (2006-2010; 2013). Represented the area of Physiotherapy in the Multidisciplinary Health Committee of CNPQ (2010-2013). Member of the Health Area III Coordination at FAPESP's Scientific Board (2012-2020). Member of the Board of the Institute for Advanced and Strategic Studies-CoIEAE at UFSCar. (since 2020).
