Graduated in Dentistry: Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais (1984), MSc in Endodontics: Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1992) and PhD in Restorative Dentistry, endodontic field: University Dental Hospital of Manchester, UK (1995). She has experience in Dentistry, particularly in Endodontics, acting on the following subjects: endodontic microbiology, endotoxins (LPS), LTA, cytokines, antimicrobials, chemical substances, instrumentation techniques, intracanal medicaments.
