Degree in Mathematics at Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1999), master's in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics at Universidade de São Paulo (2002) and Ph.D. in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics at Universidade de São Paulo (2005). Was a research associate at Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands (2006). Became assistant professor (2006) and associate professor (2014) at Universidade de São Paulo. Was visiting professor at University of Texas at Dallas, USA (2017). Has experience in Applied Mathematics, focusing on Numerical Analysis, specifically researching on numerical solution of differential equations by finite difference / volume / element methods, applied to fluid flow simulation with moving boundaries (multi-fluid / free-surface flows).
