Research associate at Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands (2006). Became assistant professor (2006) and associate professor (2014) at Universidade de São Paulo. Visiting professor at University of Texas at Dallas, USA (2017). Head of the Laboratory on Applied Math and Scientific Computing (LMAC), Head of Graduate Professional Program on Mathematics, Statistics and Computing Applied to Industry (MECAI), Head of the cluster Euler/CeMEAI and Counselor of the Brazilian Society of Computational and Applied Mathematics (SBMAC). Principal Investigator of the Center for Mathematical Sciences Applied to Industry (CeMEAI/FAPESP) and PI of projects with Petrobras. Has experience in Applied Mathematics, focusing on Numerical Analysis, specifically researching on numerical solution of differential equations by finite difference / volume / element methods, applied to fluid flow simulations.
