graduate at Mechanical Engineering from State University of Campinas (1989), receiving the master´s degree on Mechanical Engineering from State University of Campinas (1993) and the doctor´s degree on Mechanical Engineering from State University of Campinas (1996). He has awarded with the degree of "livre-docente" in Mechanical Behavior of Materials from the São Paulo State University in 2002. His research interests are in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering for aircraft applications, including the following subjects: digital image processing, mechanical testing, quantitative fractography and quantitative materialography. He works at the São Paulo State University (UNESP), as "Microscopy and Structure Characterization" Professor at the Materials and Technology Department in Guaratinguetá Campus.
