He received the B. Sc. degree in Physics from Universidade Federal do Paraná (1991), master degree in Physics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1995) and Ph.D in Physic from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1999). He is currently Associate Professor at Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho. Has experience in Physics of Condensed Matter, focusing on Plasma Physics and Electrical Discharges, acting on the following subjects: PECVD, plasma treatment, plasma polymers, plasma immersion ion implantation and deposition, plasma treatment of biomaterials, micro-arc oxidation, plasma electrolytic oxidation, contact angle and nanoindentation.
