Undergraduate in Biology from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1990), master's from Instituto de Biofísica Carlos Chagas Filho (1992), M.Sci , M. Phil and Ph.D from Neurobiology and Behaviour from Columbia University (1998) and Postdoctoral training at Rockefeller University (2001). She is now an associate professor and Principal Investigator in the Laboratory of Vertebrate Embryology, at the Department of Cell and Developmental Biology, USP (Brazil). The current proposal aims to significantly enhance our research capability by adding an LSM 900 KMAT confocal microscope to our microscopy facility.
