Graduated in Agronomy Engineering from Universidade de São Paulo (USP, 1992), master's at Agronomy from Universidade de São Paulo (1995) and PhD at Phisiologie Cellulaire et Moleculaire Des Plantes from Universite de Paris XI (Paris-Sud) (1999). Has two post-docs (ESALQ/USP, 2000-2002 and CENA/USP, 2002-2004). Is a tenured Full Professor at UNICAMP.
