Graduated in Veterinary Medicine at the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1989), master's in Animal Pathology at the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1993) and PhD in Basic and Applied Immunology at the Universidade de São Paulo (1998).
