D.V.M. Degree at School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science - USP (1989), Master's on General Pathology at Tokyo University Of Fisheries (1994) and Ph.D. on Immunology at Tokyo University Of Fisheries (1998). Current position working as assistant professor at School of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science of the University of Sao Paulo. Research fields include immunology of reproduction in bovine, rats and mice, fish immunology and mainly mammary tumor immunology in dogs and women, with focus on the enzyme indoleamine 2, 3 dioxygenase - IDO immunomodulation as a tool for immunotherapy. Regarding our fish immunology studies, nowadays we are focusing on improving the efficiency of the germ cell xenotransplantation by using immunosuppressive agents.
