Professor at Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP), Presidente Prudente campus (1980-2019). Postdoctoral fellow at the Université de Paris I Sorbonne-Panthéon (1994-1996). Accredited by the UNESP Graduate Program (grade 7 CAPES). Full Professor (2007), retired from UNESP. Visiting Professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia, Campus do Pontal, Ituiutaba (2019-2021), at the University of Salamanca (1998), at the State University of Ceará (2014) and at the Pedagogical University of Mozambique. Research internships at the Universities Paris-Dauphine (2009), Lleida (2012), Coimbra (2013) and Paris-Cité (2021-2022). Member of the editorial board of numerous scientific journals in Brazil and abroad. Editor-in-Chief of Terra Livre Magazine (AGB, 2002-2004) and Online Training (PPG in Geography at UNESP/FCT, 2017-2020). Coordinator of the Geography area at FAPESP (2013-2020). Coordinator of GAsPERR (Research Group on Space Production and Regional Redefinitions, 1993-2017). Coordinator of the PNLD (National Textbook Program of the MEC, 2004-2012). Member of the ReCiMe Researchers Network, since 2006), Mikripoli (Small Cities Researchers Network, since 2020), RELAEE (Space-Economy: Economic Geography and Political Economy, since 2019) and RegionAL (Regional Studies Observatory, since 2019) . Experience in the area of Geography, with emphasis on Economic and Urban Geography, working mainly on the following topics: territory, industrialization, geographic thinking, economic dynamics, production of space and medium-sized cities.
