Graduate in Mechanical Engineering at the University of São Paulo, Brazil (1988) and received a doctor title from the Eidgenossische Technische Hochschule - ETH Zurich Switzerland (1994). Works with Autonomous Systems, Machine Inteligence, Mechatronic design, Mobile Manipulation, Embedded RTOS, Surgery and Rehabilitation Robotics, Robotics and Automation applied to Aeronautics. Between 2010-2011 joined the Eric P. and Evelyn E. Newman Laboratory for Biomechanics and Human Rehabilitation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology - MIT - USA for a sabbatical period. Currently works as a Full Professor at the Department of Aeronautics Engineering - EESC- University of São Paulo, Brazil. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
