She has a licentiate and a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the University of São Paulo (USP), a PhD in Sciences (Cell Biology and Histology) from the Institute of Biomedical Sciences at USP and a Post-Doctorate in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (Institute of Chemistry- USP and Michigan University-USA). She is currently Associate Professor 3 at the Department of Anatomy at the ICB/USP, where she has been employed since 2001. She has experience in the area of Cellular and Molecular Biology in the subjects: action of hormones and growth factors on the adrenal gland, HPA axis, differentiation, proliferation, and renewal of normal and tumoral adrenocortical cortex. She develops research projects: 1 Young Researcher, Regular Grants and 2 Thematic as main researcher, supported by FAPESP, and CAPES and CNPq. In teaching, she works at undergraduate and graduate levels as well as in extension activities. The main roles in management were as president of the ICB Research Commission and as head of the Department of Anatomy at the ICB/USP. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
