Maurício Lacerda Nogueira

graduation at Medicina from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (1995), master's at Microbiology from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (1998) and doctorate at Microbiology from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (2001). He is currently Adjunct Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of São José do Rio Preto. He also works at the Integrated Clinical Research Center (CIP) and at the Central Laboratory of the Hospital de Base de São José do Rio Preto. He was President of the Brazilian Society of Virology (2017-2019). He is an Associated Adjunct Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Texas Medical Branch and council and Chair (2023-2024) of the American Committee on Arthropod-Borne and Zoonotic Viruses (ACAV).
