Carlos Eduardo Pellegrino Cerri

He has a degree in Agricultural Engineering from ESALQ/USP (1997), a master's degree in Soils and Plant Nutrition from ESALQ/USP (1999) and a PhD in Environmental Science from CENA/USP (2003). He is currently Full Professor in the Department of Soil Science at ESALQ/USP and Director of CCARBON/USP (Center for Carbon Studies in Tropical Agriculture). He works mainly on the topics of soil carbon sequestration, greenhouse gas emissions, dynamics of soil organic matter in agricultural systems, mathematical modeling, carbon market, global warming and climate change. He is a CNPq Productivity Fellow and one of five Brazilians on the British Reuters Agency list of the Top worlds most influential climate scientists. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
