He is currently chairman of the biota/fapesp program at Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo. Has experience in Ecology, focusing on Ecology, acting on the following subjects: conservacao da biodiversidade, biodiversidade, biota/fapesp, ecofisiologia de especies tropicais and convencao sobre a diversidade biologica.
