Draulio B. de Araujo received his PhD in Physics Applied to Medicine and Biology. He has held an associate professor position at the Department of Physics, University of Sao Paulo, in Ribeirao Preto, from 2002 to 2009. He currently holds a full professor at the Brain Institute of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. His main area of interest relates to the investigation of the neural basis of the psychedelic ayahuasca using funcional neuroimaging tools such as funcional magnetic resonance imaging and electroencephalography.
