He holds a degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (1998) and a PhD in Biological Sciences (Biochemistry) from the University of São Paulo (2003). He completed a post-doctoral internship at the University of Córdoba, Spain (2004), in the area of #8203;#8203;environmental toxicology, and at the CSIC in Barcelona (2013). He holds a full professorship in Biochemistry (2015) from UNESP. He was president of the Ibero-American Society of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology from 2018 to 2021. He is currently a tenured professor at the Fundação Universidade Regional de Blumenau. He has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Biochemistry, with an emphasis on Environmental Toxicology, studying the effects of environmental pollutants on aquatic organisms, with an emphasis on studies on the adverse effects of pesticides and drugs on the development of anuran amphibians.
