Graduated in Chemistry from the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP, 1997), PhD in Chemistry from the University of São Paulo (2005) and Ph.D. in Biochimics and Cellular and Molecular Biology - Università di Roma Tor Vergata (2003-2004). She is currently Associate Professor at the Federal University of ABC, and in 2019 was a visiting researcher at the Department of Laboratory Medicine, - Ospedale Fatebenefratelli San Giovanni Calibita, Rome, Italy. She has experience in Biochemistry, acting on the following subjects: transition metal biochemistry (copper, iron and zinc), bioinorganic, free radicals and reactive oxygen species in cell physiology and signaling, development of proactive copper complexes in therapy and cell cultures, neurodegeneration and its relationship with metals and study of new nutraceutical therapies based on metal chelation, oxidative stress generation and cell cycle changes.
