Associate Professor at the Federal University of São Paulo in the field of Biotechnology. Graduated in Biology from Mackenzie University and holds a PhD in Biotechnology from the University of São Paulo. Completed postdoctoral studies at the Butantan Institute (with a period at the University of California, San Francisco) and the Institute of Molecular Medicine (University of Lisbon, Portugal). Experienced in protein chemistry, mass spectrometry, and bioprospecting. Focuses primarily on the following topics: rational (in silico) design and biochemistry of bioactive peptides, exploration of natural sources, antimicrobial biomaterials, and in vivo assays using alternative models. Permanent faculty member of the graduate program in Biotechnology. Coordinator of the Bachelors Degree in Biotechnology at UNIFESP (term 2019-2023).
