Birthplace: Brazil

PhD in Nutrition and Public Health from the University of São Paulo (2015). I am currently assistant professor in the Department of Nutrition at the School of Public Health at USP and a researcher at the Center for Epidemiological Research in Nutrition and Health (NUPENS). I am a supervisor at Graduate Program on Nutrition and Public Health, at USP, and associate editor of Public Health Journal (Revista de Saúde Pública). In 2017, I was on maternity leave and therefore more distant from academic activities. I am very interested in studying the effects of food ultra-processing on the health conditions of populations and I advocate a critical epidemiology, deeply committed to social responsibility.
