Associate Professor and Researcher at the College of Engineering in the Campus of Guaratinguetá of the Universidade Estadual Paulista. Scientific advisor to FAPESP and CNPq. Technological Development and Innovative Extension Scholarship-DT/CNPq. He works as a reviewer of scientific articles for international indexed journals. Author of a Technological Product Patent, code MU8801488-6U2, Classification: G01N 3/62. He acted as researcher/executor of a PIPE/FAPESP research project related to the analysis of damage tolerance in welded aeronautical structures. He received the ABNER BRENNER - Silver Medal from the AESF as the author of the second best article published in the Plating & Surface Finishing magazine throughout 2001. He worked professionally in structural mechanical projects and industrial installations. He has experience in Mechanical and Materials Engineering, with emphasis on Mechanical and Microstructural Characterization of Materials, Fatigue and Fracture Mechanics, working mainly on the following topics: high strength steels for aeronautical applications; high-strength and low-alloy microalloyed steels (ARBL), API classes, used in the oil and gas sector; surface treatments (shot peening, metallic coatings, HVOF thermal spray process); welding processes; analysis of residual stresses and fracture toughness.
