Bachelor of Biological Sciences from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1994), Master in Biological Sciences from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1997), Ph.D. in Genetics and Molecular Biology from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2001), and post doctorate from New York University. Currently she is a Professor at Universidade Federal do ABC. She has experience in Genetics and Microbiology, focusing on Molecular and Microorganism Genetics.
