Ph.D. in Physiology by School of Medicine University of São Paulo (2004) under the mentorship of Dr Renato Migliorini (1999-2004). Research Scholar at the lab of Dr Timothy Bartness in Atlanta GA, USA (2002-2003). Post-doctoral training at the Quebec Institute of Cardiology and Pneumology, Quebec, Canada, under mentorship of Dr Yves Deshaies (2005-2009). Visiting Scientist at the laboratory of Dr David Sabatini at the Whitehead Institute For Biomedical Research associated to the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), Cambridge, USA (2009-2010). Currrently, works as a Associated Professor at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, University of São Paulo and head of the Rodent Metabolic Phenotyping Center (RPMC).
