Graduated in Physical Education by the Universidade of Ribeirão Preto (1998) Obtained Ph.D. at Physiology Department from University of São Paulo (2004) under the mentorship of Dr Renato Migliorini (1999-2004). Worked as a Research Scholar at the lab of Dr Timothy Bartness in Atlanta GA, USA (2002-2003). Received Post-doctoral training at the Quebec Institute of Cardiology and Pneumology, Quebec, Canada, under supervision of Dr Yves Deshaies (2005-2009). Worked as a Visiting Scientist at the laboratory of Dr David Sabatini at the Whitehead Institute For Biomedical Research associated to the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), Cambridge, USA (2009-2010). Currrently, work as Associated Professor at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, University of São Paulo. Has experience in Human Physiology, focusing on neural, hormonal and molecular control of lipids, carbohydrates and protein metabolism and intracellular signaling via mTOR.
