Bachelor's degree in Astronomy (1989) at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Master in Space Science (1992) and Ph.D. in Astrophysics ? Radioastronomy/Solar Physics (1997), by the National Institute for Space Research - INPE. Visiting scholar at the Space Sciences Laboratory of University of California ? Berkeley (1994-1996). Post-Doctorate by FAPESP at Astrophysics Division of INPE (2000-2002). Currently, is a researcher of the Laboratory of Physics and Astronomy at Institute of Research and Development (IP&D), University of Vale do Paraíba (UNIVAP), Coordinator of PhD Course in Physics and Astronomy (2013-2016) and Member of the Faculty of post-graduate curses. Leader of the Research Group ?CELESTE? (Latinamerican Center for Sun-Earth Relationship Studies). He is a founding member of Project Brazilian Decimetric Array (BDA), the first radio interferometer decimetre Latin America. It is memberof Brazilian Astronomical Society (SAB), the Brazilian Society for the Progress of Science (SBPC), the Brazilian Society of Physics (SBF) and the Latin American Association of Space Geophysics (ALAGE).
