Full Professor of English and Comparative Literature at the University of São Paulo. Experience in English Literature, focusing on Comparative Literature, with research projects on the following subjects: Brazilian novel, English novel, 19th Century, Guimarães Rosa and Literary Relations Britain/Brazil. At present, curator of the Guimarães Rosa Archive at the Institute of Brazilian Studies (University of São Paulo). Author of Puras Misturas (HUCITEC/FAPESP, 1997); Dez Lições sobre o Romance Inglês do Século XVIII (Boitempo, 2002); Formação do Romance Inglês: ensaios teóricos (HUCITEC/FAPESP, 2007 and several articles both in Brazil and abroad. Holds a Research Grant from CNPq (level IA). Coordinator of the Laboratory for the Study of the Novel (LERo) and of research project "Displacements, decenterings: the novel without frontiers" (FAPESP). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
