I am a full Professor in the Chemistry Department at the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar, Brazil), and I have been working in bioanalytical methods for quantification of drugs in biological matrices and wastewater. Separation of chiral drugs plays an important role in my research projects and a number of methods were developed for studies of medical and pharmaceutical applications. The development of immobilized enzyme reactors for ligand-binding assays has been, lately, one of my main research interests and I have been working either with zonal bioaffinity chromatography or with ligand-fishing assays.
