The project aims at the student"s introduction to the area of critical phenomena and phase transition, in particular the study of exactly integrable models. The student will apply his understanding on the free fermions model (by the Jordan-Wiegner transformation) and the Bethe anzatz.
In view of recent experimental efforts on double bilayer graphene systems, we will study in this project inter-layer electron-hole pair condensation in graphene bilayers using quantum Monte Carlo (QMC) method.
