Senior Scientist in Atmospheric Electricity (ELAT) of the Earth System Science Center (CCST) of the National Institute for Space Research (INPE). Undergraduation in Engineering Electrician with emphasis in Electronic Computing by School of Engineering of São Carlos - EESC / USP (1996), MsC and PhD in Space Geophysics / Atmospheric Electricity by INPE (2001, 2005) and PostDOC by INPE with stage in the USA in lightning detection systems both of ground sensors and on board satellites (2006-2007). Has extensive experience in lightning detection area and climatology of lightning participating of various scientific projects with national and international institutions. Has published several articles in international journals and participated in dozens of scientific events. Worked from 2006 to 2013 in research, product development and consulting in the field of lightning and its impact on power utilities, construction, energy and mining through projects and agreements with various public and private institutions in Brazil. At that time, it was the founder and general coordinator of the Monitoring Center for Lightning Forecast managed by FUNCATE which aims to protect structures and human lives. In 2013, got a permanent position of Associate Scientist in ​​Atmospheric Electricity of CCST / INPE. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
