Fabiola Traina graduated in Medicine at UNICAMP (1997) where she also completed a medical residency in Hematology and Hemotherapy (1998-2000) and Bone Marrow Transplantation (2001), with complementary training in Bone Marrow Transplantation at the Seattle Cancer Cell Alliance (Seattle, USA) (2003). She obtained her doctorate in Medical Physiopathology at the State University of Campinas (2007) and postdoctorate at the Cleveland Clinic (Ohio, USA) (2011). She worked as a hematologist and collaborating researcher at UNICAMP between 2004 and 2013. In 2013, she assumed the position of Professor at the Department of Internal Medicine at FMRP USP. Currently, she is Full Professor (MS-5) at the Department of Medical Imaging, Hematology and Oncology at FMRP USP, Vice-Coordinator of the Department, Coordinator and Supervisor of the Bone Marrow Transplant Center at HC FMRP USP and Scientific Technical Director at Hemocentro from Ribeirão Preto. In addition to dedicating herself to the teaching of graduation, post-graduation and extension activities, she is engaged in translational research with interest in the study of cytogenetic/molecular alterations and new therapeutic strategies in myeloid neoplasias.
