Brunno Vieira is professor of Latin Language and Literature at Sao Paulo State University (UNESP)-Brazil. He has published on classical reception and on tradition of literary translation from Latin into Portuguese. He is the author of the first poetic translation of Lucan into Portuguese (Unicamp, 2011) and has co-edited the volume "Classical permanence: visions of Classical Antiquity" (Escrituras, 2011).
