Prof. Carlota Rangel Yagui is a full professor at the Department of Biochemical and Pharmaceutical Technology of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of São Paulo (FCF-USP) and a Visiting Professor at the Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences of King's College London (2022-2027). She has a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy and Biochemistry (1997) from USP and a PhD. in Biochemical and Pharmaceutical Technology from the same institution (2003), with an 18 months period as a visiting student a the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT-USA) from July 2001 to December 2002. Prof. Rangel-Yagui has coordinated the Graduate Program in Biochemical and Pharmaceutical Technology for five years (2015-2019 and 2021-2022) and was the vice-president of the Graduate Committee at FCF/USP from 2018-2020). Currently, she is the Editor in Chief of the Brazilian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, a member of the Brazilian Association of Pharmaceutical Sciences and the vice-president of the Controlled Release Society Brazilian Local Chapter. Prof. Rangel-Yagui coordinates the Laboratory of Nanobiotechnology of the University of São Paulo (@nanobio.Lab), focused on nanobiotechnology, self-aggregated nanostructure, protein PEGylation and aqueous biphasic systems for protein purification.
