She is full professor at the School of Public Health of the University of Sao Paulo, where has worked as head of departments and post-graduation sector. She has experience in Medicine, focusing on Epidemiology and Nutrition, working on diabetes mellitus, metabolic syndrome, hypertension, obesity, nutrition and gut microbiota.
