The project suggests the utilization of theoretical methods to calculate the energy profiles of the transit of simple cations and halogens through the cavities of macrocycles such as cucurbituril. These data are essential in order to understand how the ion rejection process occurs in reverse osmosis membranes that contain these macrocycles. (AU)
Cs-based lead perovskites nanocrystals (CsPbX3) will be synthesized in situ in a x-ray beam line from synchrotron source to evaluate their growth from the precursors.
