Graduated in Physics from the Universidad de Costa Rica (Dec / 2001). Master (Mar / 2004) and PhD (Oct / 2007) in Physics from the State University of Campinas, in the MTA group of the National Synchrotron Light Laboratory, with sandwich period at the Technische Universitat Dortmund in Germany. PhD Professor at USP's Physics Institute since Feb / 2009 and Free Lecturer in the Materials Physics Department at the same institute since Dec / 2018. He has experience in the field of Experimental Condensed Matter Physics, with an emphasis on quantum materials, working mainly in optical spectroscopy with temporal resolution and electronic transport. He has served as a visiting researcher at several institutions between 2009 and 2020: McGill University (Montreal), GHMFL-CNRS (Grenoble), IBM Research (Zurich), TU (Dortmund), UMich (Michigan), Rice (Houston).
