Bachelor in Biological Sciences from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP, 1995), Master in Pharmacology from Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP, 1998) and PhD in Sciences (emphasis on Pharmacology) from Federal University of Sao Paulo (UNIFESP , 2003). She is currently an Associate Professor at the School of Arts, Sciences and Humanities at the University of Sao Paulo, Coordinator of the Gerontology Undergraduate Course, Advisor for the Graduate Programs in Gerontology (EACH / USP) and Pharmacology (ICB / USP) and Coordinator of the Research Group of Neuropharmacology of Aging. She has experience in motor and central cholinergic neurotransmission, with emphasis on: bioprospecting of potential senolytic drugs; strategies for improving cognitive function; neurochemical aspects of Alzheimer's disease and neuroplasticity along the natural aging process.
