Bachelor's at Linguistics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1993), master's at Linguistics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1996) and doctorate at Linguistics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (2002). She is currently full professor at Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho.
