Holds a graduate degree in Physical Education (Teaching Degree) and a specialization in Human Development and Motor Behavior from São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (IB-UNESP). Completed a Masters degree in Biological Sciences Physiology and a PhD in Biological Sciences Physiology, both at the University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Obtained the Livre-Docência qualification in Theoretical and Practical Foundations of Physical Conditioning (UNESP). Is a Full Professor at the University of Campinas (FCA-UNICAMP), in the field of Health and Sport. Completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Laboratory of Genetics and Medical Genetics, University of WisconsinMadison, USA, with funding from FAPESP (20152016). Is a leader of CNPq Research Groups, with experience in Physiology, with an emphasis on Exercise Physiology and Sports Training, conducting studies involving both human and animal models. Served as a member of the CNPq Multidisciplinary Health Advisory Committee (CA-MS; Physical Education, Speech-Language Pathology, Physiotherapy, and Occupational Therapy) as an associate representative of the Physical Education area from 2019 to 2022, and as Coordinator of the CA-MS from 2023 to 2025 (CNPq).
