Richard Miskolci is Full Professor of Sociology at the Federal University of São Paulo (UNIFESP), Brazil. His most recent research is on disinformation. Miskolci is a researcher of the National Council on Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq). He was a visiting scholar in the University of Chicago, University of Michigan, University of California, and University Complutense of Madrid. Miskolci has researched the uses of Information and Communication Technologies for around 20 years, he published the first Brazilian compilation on Digital Sociology (2016), and also created and is the coordinator of the Research Committie Digital Sociology of the Brazilian Sociological Society. He is a member of the International Sociological Association Research Committee Futures Research and also a member of the Work Group Digital Sociology.
