She holds a medical degree from the Paulista School of Medicine (EPM), Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP) in 1983. She was one of the founders of Geriatrics and Gerontology at EPM-UNIFESP in 1985, which became Geriatrics and Gerontology of the Department of Medicine of EPM-UNIFESP in 1999. He defended a Master's degree in Epidemiology (1996) and a doctorate in Nutrition Sciences by UNIFESP in 1999 with the thesis held at The Human Nutrition Research Center at Tuft's University - Boston / MA / USA - on polymorphism the "Offspring Framingham Study". She is currently Adjunct Professor of Geriatrics and Gerontology at EPM-UNIFESP and registered physician at Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein. Has experience in Medicine, with emphasis in Geriatrics and Gerontology, working mainly in the following subjects: elderly, metabolism and longevity. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
