Graduated in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (1999), Master (2002) and PhD (2006) in Sciences from the Federal University of São Paulo and Post-Doctorate in Genetics from the Medical Research Council - Human Genetics Unit (University of Edinburgh ) -2007/2008). She is currently Associate Professor at Escola Paulista de Medicina-Federal University of São Paulo and leader of the study group on Biopsychosocial Epigenetics and its Heritage (BEpI). He has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Epigenetics and paternal epigenetic inheritance, participating mainly in the following topics: germ cell development, DNA methylation, sncRNA profile and retrotransposons. He has been dedicated to studying the epigenetic inheritance of autism and related conditions, as well as understanding epigenetics as a mechanism for biological incorporation of the psychosocial context. She also works on developing strategies for Higher Education, being the creator and coordinator of the OrganicaMente Project. Coordinator of the Unifesp Mental Health Observatory (OSMU).
