Marcio Mancini holds a degree in Medicine from the University of São Paulo (1986), a Medical Residency in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and Metabolism (1990) and a PhD in Endocrinology from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo (2005). He is currently a doctor-assistant at the Hospital das Clínicas of the Faculty of Medicine of USP, occupying the position of Head of the Obesity Unit of the Discipline of Endocrinology and Metabology. He has experience in the field of Medicine, with an emphasis on Endocrinology, working mainly on the following topics: obesity, metabolic syndrome, bariatric surgery and diabetes. Head of the Postgraduate Program for the Discipline of Endocrinology and Metabolism since 2011. Author-coordinator of the book Textbook of Obesity, 4th edition, Editora GEN, Rio de Janeiro, 2025.
