Bachelor degree in Physics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1986), master in Astronomy from University of California at Berkeley (1992) and master in Astronomy from Universidade de São Paulo (1989) and PhD in Astronomy from University of California at Berkeley (1995). Postdoctoral fellowships at the California Institute of Technology - Caltech (1995-1997) and at UNICAMP (1997-1999). Livre-Docência from the University of São Paulo in 2008. I am a Full Professor at Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie and a researcher at the Mackenzie Center for Radio Astronomy and Astrophysics (CRAAM) since 1999. Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Space Geophysics and Applications (PPG-CEG) at Mackenzie from 2013 to 2023. Served as Coordinator of the Astronomy Area at FAPESP (2016-2022) and as a member of the Physics and Astronomy Advisory Committee of CNPq (2018-2021). Within the Brazilian Astronomical Society (SAB), I held several directorship roles: President (2012-2014), Treasurer (2015-2017), and General Secretary (2004-2008). Currently, I coordinate the Work Package WP123.600 "Stellar Rotation from Transits" in the context of the PLATO space mission (ESA). My research focuses on solar and stellar activity, particularly on solar and stellar spots and flares, solar and stellar atmospheres, star-planet interactions, planetary habitability, and radio astronomy.
