Djalma de Albuquerque Barros Filho

Professor Djalma Barros studied at Physics Institute of São Carlos from University of São Paulo where he obtained the Master of Science degree at 1992. He achieved the doctor degree at Chemistry Institute of São Carlos from University of São Paulo where he studied the sensitization of niobium films by incorporation of Ruthenium Complexes. He improved his research by a pos-doctoral fellow with Prof. Geoffrey Ozin at University of Toronto when he worked with sensitization of mesoporous titania. He continued this research line at Chemistry Institute from UNESP focusing on the synthesis of latex particles for generation of silica and titania macroporous films. He worked as professor at UNIBAN for aplication of titania as biomaterial for coating of dental implants. He has four articles published in the field of films generation and chemical template. Nowadays, he works at Federal Institute of Alagoas (IFAL) where his current research interest is the synthesis of nanoparticles (titania, silica and latex) to be applied at water dealinization and at preparation of sollar cells devices.
