Full Professor at the Centre for Natural Sciences and Humanities at the Federal University of ABC UFABC. He has a bachelor?s in Chemistry from University of São Paulo USP end obtained his Ph.D. in Molecular Biological from Federal University of São Paulo UNIFESP, where he studied the action of peptides in Central Nervous System , to obtain the obesity control. Prior to joining at Federal University of ABC in August 2006, he studied the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, using analogues of the angiotensin II, as a postdoctoral researcher at Federal University of São Paulo. Dr. Oliveira is currently developing studies on malaria, in order to obtain active peptides against this disease, on development of new antimicrobial peptides and their antitumoral action. Dr. Oliveira is a professor in the postgraduate courses of Science and Technology - Chemistry of UFABC and in Biological Sciences (Molecular Biology) of UNIFESP. http://pesquisa.ufabc.edu.br/lacomb/ (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
