Francisco Antonio Helfenstein Fonseca

Graduated in Medicine from Universidade Santo Amaro (1976) and Ph.D. in Cardiology from Universidade Federal de São Paulo (1994), research fellow at the Mount Sinais School of Medicine (NY-US). Has experience in Atherosclerosis and Vascular Biology, involving experimental models and clinical trials. More recently has been dedicated to investigate the role of adaptive and innate immunity on cardiovascular disease, particularly on coronary heart disease. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
