She graduated in Medicine, Faculty of Medical Sciences, State University of Campinas (1983) with specialization (Residency) in Obstetrics and Gynecology (1986 ) from the same institution. She also has the title of Specialist in Gynecology and Obstetrics (TEGO) by the Brazilian Society of Obstetrics Gynecology ( 1993) and the title of Specialist in Mastology (TEMA) by the Brazilian Society of Mastology (2004). She made a Master degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology (1992), a PhD in Obstetrics and Gynecology (1995). She is currently full Professor in Gynecology at the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Faculty of Medical Sciences (FCM ), State University of Campinas (Unicamp). She has experience in research in medicine, with emphasis on tumor biomarkers, ovarian cancer, breast cancer and HPV infection. She publishes regularly taking more than 100 articles indexed in PubMed / Medline . Serves as associate editor in the Brazilian Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics and the journal BMC Cancer . She is also a reviewer for several national and international journals. She supervises research of undergraduate students, and posgraduated students (master degree and PhD).
